S Karthikeyan, Manager (Projects)

Karthikeyan, currently pursuing an Engineering degree at the National University of Singapore, started his journey in theatre arts when he was 13, when he represented his school in several inter-school drama competitions. At the age of 15, he was chosen to play the lead role of Ravindran Drama Group's first literary play 'Pathy Vathy - A Love…' in 1999. Since then, he has been actively involved in many RDG's plays and events. In recent years, he has also been exploring his talents in backstage management. Among his many awards, he has been presented with the award for 'Best Info-ed Host' at Vasantham Central's 'Pradana Vizha', in 2003 and was nominated for the Best Host and Most Popular Celebrity categories in 2005 for the same program. He recently directed his first play titled 'Ullae Veliyae' which was staged in August 2006. His most recent role on stage would be Kassim in Vadi PVSS's "Separation: The Kalinga Trilogy staged in Nov 2006 at the Esplanade theatre as part of Kala Utsavam, Indian Festival of Arts.
