1.         The Participants
 
1.1      Participants must be schooling in a JC, Pre – U Institute, ITE or a Polytechnics. Graduating   
          students waiting for results can participate if the respective institution allows for it
 
2.         The Competition (The Improv. Theatre Round)
 
2.1     The competition will be held at RJC over a period of 3 consecutive days depending on the response, similar to the SYF drama presentations.
 
2.2     The theme for this competition would be Adaiyaalam (Identity). Scripts are to be written inline with the theme. Teams may consider linguistic identity, ethnic identity, national identity or even identity of youths.
 
2.3    All the participants will be graded according to Gold with Honours, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Certificate of Participation – again similar to the SYF festivals. A certificate indicating their levels of achievement will be given along with trophies to the schools too.
 
2.4     3 of the best teams in the preliminary rounds will then be invited to join a workshop conducted by RDG in the March holidays. In the workshop, the teams will be exposed to the basics of theatre ethics. In addition, they will be trained in how to improve their individual acting skills, and their play.
 
2.5     Then for the finals where there will be a public performance of 3 of the best dramas. Here the element not seen before in any drama competitions held in Singapore will be added – The Improv. Theatre round.
 
2.5.1        Here members of the 3 schools will be given a situation then and there and asked to come up with a 5 minute skit after discussion for 5 minutes. A generic prop will be given along with a basket of items which the students have to use creatively in their 5 minute skit. Trophies will be awarded to the winning institution.
 
2.5.2        The objective of this round would be to promote spontaneous Tamil speaking.
 
2.6     Scripts are to be submitted by 9th February for vetting by the vetting body.
